IPF Webinar: Unlocking institutional investment to power UK housing growth

The new edition of the IPF’s publication, Size & Structure of the UK Property Market puts the total value of residential stock held by institutional investors at only £109bn out of a total of nearly £8.3tn. These investors have grown in significance since 2028, contributing over 5% of all new additions to the housing stock in England and Wales. Nevertheless, to make any significant contribution to meeting government housing targets, institutions will need to increase investment in the sector by two or three-fold.
At the end of November 2024, the IPF decided to invite many of the leading participants in the UK institutional residential sector to a roundtable discussion as to how a faster pace of investment in the residential sector could be achieved. This webinar will outline the key issues raised at the roundtable and seek to develop them further.
