IPF Seminar: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AVMs in commercial real estate: plausible pathways and sector implications

Given technology adoption has reached the forefront of real estate industry discourse over the past decade, the IPF Research Programme decided to appoint Urbon Neuron to report on the potential implications of the use of AI and its application in automated valuation models (AVMs). The research team were required to look at how AI and AVMs approach real estate valuation, what weaknesses there may be, and the requirements for the technology to reach its full potential over a 25-year horizon under different scenarios.

This seminar will outline the findings of the Urbon Neuron research and discuss the scenarios considered in terms of the potential outcomes for different stakeholders in the real estate industry and market function.
